If a from
and to
value are present the from value will be used for formatting a display. If only a from value is present in the filter
the from value will be formatted and prefixed with a >
character. If only a to value is present then that value will be formatted and prefixed with a <

string can contain literal values. These need to be escaped by surrounding with single quotes (e.g.
"h 'in the morning'"
). In order to output a single quote, escape it - i.e., two single quotes in a sequence
(e.g. "h 'o''clock'"
).
